    I can understand how that could cause it from working properly,but i don't understand how that would make it blow bubbles.I mean if you have air blowing out,you have to be producing or sucking air from somewhere for it to make it do that.?Mabey it is something that happens,my powerhead is several years old,so i can't rule that out.Thanks

    What you're seeing is cavitation. Google it for a description. My aquaclear powerheads do the same. Every 10 minutes or so a big burst of bubbles. I stopped using them for that reason.
