I noticed that my bta has been hiding in the rocks for a couple of days and today came out, but I also now have another bta on the other side of the rock. Guess it Split.

One half looks great, but the other part doesn't seem to look quite as good. The tentacles are not filled with water, but it is attached firmly to the rock. Can it take a little while for it to recover from the split.

It's strange my Maroon clown keeps going back and forth between the two like it doesn't know which to be with.

I just want to make sure that the other one that isn't looking as good now doesn't die in the tank. Should I take it out now or wait?

    Thanks for the Help...

I would post a pic but the other one is on the back side of the tank near the bottom and I can hardly see.

    Thanks

It may take a week or two for the other half of the bta to snap into it, or it may die.
If it dies, or gets all shriveled up to the size of a wad of bubble gum, then take it out.

That is normal for the clown fish. Your 2nd anemone will most likely recover from the split.
I have had them look really bad after a split and within a 2-4 week period they seem to heal. Make sure all of your water parameters are ok. Sometimes they split because they are not happy with conditions sometimes it is just time to split.

Thanks for the advice, will have to wait and keep a close eye on it, maybe my Maroon Clown's incessant rubbing will magically heal it. LoL
