    Hello, fellow reefers!

I have discovered a brownish-red funk of some kind floating on the top of my water. I'm wondering what it could be?

All tank readings are perfect and fish and corals are fine, too. Just have some sort of film on the top of the water and wonder if I should be worried.

It's hard to post a picture of the film due to the reflection.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I would employ a surface skimmer or similar contraption to help to rid that collection of dissolved nutrients, toxins and other negative wastes.
These can alter water parameters and reduce light intensity to your inhabitants below as well!

Get a powerhead aiming towards the surface for more agitation....
