I had one of these in my old tank. I thought he was really cool until he performed genocide in my tank. Don't let him get too big. Just my 2 cents

The disc on mine was between a nickel and a quarter when he ate my yellow tang which was 2 1/2 inches.

    Ate a 2 1/2in yellow tang!?!?

    wow.

Are there any stars that will not disturb my sand bed, and DO NOT eat fish that would be a good addition to a CUC?

I've had mine for 3 years now. I feed him once a week and never had an issue.

Im not sure mine is the same species. As mentioned this is the biggest iv seen (while moving plugs around).

Could it be that the star was just doing its job and cleaning up and already weakened or dyeing fish?
