I have found I have a really big Bristle Worm in my tank. It seems to be about 5-6 inches in length. I just noticed him today and have read that they are able to sting you. I have also read that they are good and bad when in a tank.

What should I do? Leave it or try to catch it or are there natural things taht will eat it?

    TIA,

    Beamerhack

Ive heard lots of mixed opinions about these, but most would agree they are beneficial to a tank as part of your cuc. I have found quite a few in my tank and have always left them in. I havent seen a problem with them.
If you want to get rid of it I know arrow crabs and coral banded shrimp are both said to eat them.
I thought it was only fire worms that sting you, which I believe are different from bristle worms, but I'm not 100%.

Could be right about the fireworm...now that I remember the thread from mission..I think there was some contraversy over the flavor of said worm : )

i think the difference isn't in which *can* sting you, but which ones will really hurt ya.

i leave 'em be. though, mine are always under 2". i read 6-line's will eat them, but i've yet to see mine go for one... though, that doesn't mean it hasn't happened...
