hi all thought i would share a problem with you knowledgeable fish keepers!!!!
basically, i have noticed a few big sand dunes appearing at the bottom of my tank!!!!!i looked for a good few weeks and only just this morning i think i may of found the culprit and am now debating on what to do!!!!

i believe it is a bristle worm, which i wouldn"t mind too much except for the fact it is huge!!!!!! i reckon its around 3-4" long:-/(no pun intened lol)
what would you guys suggest i do????also is that a normal thing for them to do make sand dunes????

my corals all seem fine and i dont have an anemone at present as my malu recently died :(...... so im really not too sure what to do !!! thanks guys and gals!!

You could get a wrasse or other fish that might eat bristle worms. Or you could scoop it out yourself. I'd think typically bristle worms would stay on the rock, not in the sand though?

definately not as its a very precise dune being around 1" in circumference. with that i also saw the worm going into the sand/crushed coral. i will have to put up a pick for you guys to see, especially as i have no knowledge on bristleworms. this one is an orangey/dark colour...... im guessing there ok to have in the tank??
