Because they kill/eat other ornamental shrimp.

don't know till ya try, I netted some out of my 58 gallon the other day that were swimming around at night time, I just left the room dark, went in with a flashlight and saw them in the water column so I started netting them, worked pretty well but only saw maybe 4 or 5 of them doing that

id much rather get a cbs then an arrow crab. they seem nasty and are freaky looking to boot. while cbs seem more docile.
does anyone know how cbs are with hermits, snails and brittle stars?

I just happened to catch a pic of a bristleworm devouring a very large tang terd. I don't know the extent of your infestation regarding numbers/size but they stay in my system. I have seen this one on numerous occasions and it's the biggest I've seen in my tank. I have 1 that's bigger in my fuge.

k mine dont eat droppings. ew!
they do however pull food away from the brittle star and some of the hermits....no one messes with my hermits! so they must go!

i will try trapping them first but if it doesnt work i wont mind getting a new addition at all
