so for a long time now i have been battling bristle worm issues.
from advise from others on here and research about the fish i decided to get a 6 line wrasse. well lets just say at first he didnt really bother slurping up them buggers. however over time he has gotten over this and his little belly is round like buddahs (hence his name). but buddah is a small guy so he can only eat small bristles....and im getting some HUGE mothers if you know what im talking about.
so moving on to plan b!
i was thinking of arrow crabs however they are quite agressive and im worried they will attack my other inverts in the tank. i know theres a shrimp i can get but cant remember the name. it looks a bit like the pistol shrimp....
so is there any feedback on the arrow crab?

I have zero personal experience with arrow crab. But I was really interested in getting one bc they are awesome looking. The posts I did then and questions I asked led me to 'no arrow crab'. I've got several shrimp and a ton of snails and hermits and it was for these reasons (primarily) that the arguments were given against an arrow.

So based on my previous experience of asking about them, I'd say no. Just my two cents.

Honestly, IMHO, if you have that many bristleworms that are getting that big, its a sign of serious overfeeding. Cut your feeding in half, pick up same hermits to take care of leftovers, and the worms should die off on their own. I had a bad bristle worm problem, and I only ever had to remove one. The rest died off using the above tips ;)

Great advice, especially coupled with the fact you have a 6 line already

i dont over feed. i got a great clean up crew (hermits, shrimp and brittle star fish) however i did go on holidays for 2 weeks and i think my room mate over fed. cause now when i put even the smallest amount of food in all the bristleworms come oozing out of their hide aways. its discusting! i also dont feed the fish on sundays. so on a monday evening its even worse

Coral banded shrimp eat bristlworms. However, I wish I didn't have one at this point and he has proven to be impossible to catch.

If it helps you decide what constitutes 'overfeeding' - I feed my fish once every other day. Not saying you are or aren't though.

i feed my fish frozen food every other day and flakes inbetween. a couple of my fish wont eat flakes but this gives the brittle star some food. i give my regal tang dry seaweed twice a week. thats about it.

you can try trapping them also, stick some krill or something in a 20oz soda bottle and make it so the fish/cleanup crew cant get into it, drill holes in it or something then let that sit in the tank for a bit
