I just noticed something funny sitting on the rock that my hammer is on, went over and looked it is a small bunch of tentacles sitting there. Has anyone noticed this with theirs. it is just a small frag of 3 heads .

I have not seen this with my hammerhead, but I have only had it for 4 months. I have noticed that there are several places below the main head that are starting to show growth.

    It's called polyp bailout.

Something is stressing your colony in some way so it popped off some polyps to float in the currents and hopefully regrow.

Get a buttertub, use a hole punch to punch holes in the side of it for current. Put some sand in the bottom, then cover the top with bridal veil. It will take some time for the polyps to develop their own skeleton.

Ok, I was watching it for a while now and a few tentacles of the torch have touched the spot where they were, i have the tentacles in the butter tub and have relocated the torch to its own corner.

If all goes well, you're going to be a grandpa or grandma.
