I have about 10 of them in my 55reef. They never bother anything. IMO I think the are fine, fun to watch too.

Oh forgot, just make sure to have spare shells or some times they might kill snails for their shells.

They are one of the better hermits to have in your tank.

like all hermits they may kill snails for shells, they do eat a wide variety of algae though and cyano in addition to their scavenging duties. If you are going for a hermit, you could do worse, but I think all hermits are pretty much the same.

I've heard they are more aggressive than other hermit species....but who knows if that's actually true or not. Just make sure to have a lot of extra shells!

Blue legs are actually one of the least aggressive hermits to have. Red legs are more aggressive. I always reccomend blue legs over any other.

I just got some of these guys for my tank as well. Where can you buy extra shells for them?

I gave about 20 in my tank. They are awesome. Since they stay small they can fit into crevices that my other larger species of hermits can't reach.

Some pet stores sell them, if not you can get them at a craft store. Just make sure not to get the laminated kind. You want natural shells.
