Woke up this morning decided Id go in give my tangs some sea veggies. Im getting the stuff out from under the tank to put in there clip. I keep hearing thud thud. So thinking that it was a mouse I look around the back of the tank and here is the blue hippo floping around behind the tank. Dont know why a fish would do this. Maybe she was going for a walk?

I Quickly picked her up she was gilling really heavy so I heald her in front of the wavemaker for a few minutes so maybe she would recover. She sat in my hand for about a minute. Then she swam away she has dirt on her still hope she will manage to get it off. I did not want to stress her im sure the fall and being out of the water for god knows how long stressed her enough. Never heard of a hippo doing this.

Good save.. Hope she learned her lesson.. ;) My Clown did the same to me, except it was before my eyes & off my head.. Yes, similar to finding Nemo..

Yea she is doing ok swiming around like normal eating too. She has a couple large white spots figured there was maybe some salt creep back there she landed in or maybe just a bruise. This fish is a trooper though she has had lots of problems with ich and she comes right through it just fine. So im sure she wont try to take a swim out in the air again. Noticed she has a real thick slime coat when i picket her up so thats great go go garlic homemade food :)
