    Imo they calm down a lot after establishing their heirarchy. Mine for most of the day all swim together. Purples just have that type a personality!

    and I see you keep him with multiple tangs, only issue with my tank is that its a 120 gallon

    Before I had all the tangs, he was kept as the single tang in the tank for years. There was a clownfish pair, that my purple chased all over, we eventually decided to name him scrappy since we is always trying to pick a fight lol. The clowns r gone now but the female was of my pair was rather large and quite aggressive as well. A lot. Of people on this site have had success with multple tangs.

    Trust me tangs can be kept together. Just gotta add them in the right order. or at the same time. and make sure they have enough food.
