Because sexy shrimp are anemone shrimp and they have a symbiotic relationship with the anemone's just like the clownfish do, Now granted Maxi's WONT host clownfish but they do and will host sexy shrimp ;)

I agree man, I'm setting up the Mr Aqua 7.5G 12x12x12 cube for the wife unit with a DIY LED setup and it's gonna be like 7-8 Maxi mini's, 12 Sexy shrimp and a goby/pistol shrimp combo

I'm leaning towards a Yasha goby for the fish since they stay small and are really neat looking little goby's, I would preferably like to do a mated pair of Yasha's

thats what i was planing, bonded pair of yasha gobys with a pistol shrimp. Idk about the maxi minis, yashas are at min 40$ each. that a lot to risk on being eaten. haha

assuming it's the proper species that stays small, which usually you don't. Good on ya though that you have a lfs nearby that deals with them. most people don't.

Oh, btw, that price was with it shipped to your door. :-D

Tetra's in a 5g? Sure it's doable, but not ideal by any means.

Sexy shrimp are very cool to watch, and you don't have to have an anemone in the tank for them. They do just fine without it.

I wouldn't shouldn't have put them on the list, Look into small pencilfish, badis/scarlet gem badis, bettas ( I like king betttas), ottos, etc
A pistol shrimp won't get eaten by a melanarus wrasse.

Ok, I'm gonna do a goby/pistol shrimp combo and maybe a few other inverts.

Now the question is, which ones?
