Black Friday fish sales

I've personally noticed that the cyber monday deals are usually better. Matt usually starts up a thread with all of the sales. I would hang on till about mid week or so.

 

Don't talk to bad about Petco, if you go to the right one it can be better then some local fish stores. I got an awesome pair of clowns from them, and the manager told me that if I ever am looking for anything that he will order it for me and call me when it is in. That way I can pick it straight up from him before it is introduced into his system. Just FYI. Petco has a bad reputation I know, and I used to feel the same way as you.

 

+1 I've never gotten anything bad from petco. I won't say that they know what they are talking about, or that anyone should trust any LFS, but every fish I got from there is still alive (besides a clown that jumped about 8 months after I got it)..

 

The first fish I bought (pair of clowns) are the most healthy fish I have. Never had any problems with them, and they looked really healthy at the store too...this petco is pretty new too, about 2-3 years old

About petco, I bought a condy anemone and it is doing fantastic.

 

Marine Depot's Low Price Guarantee is worthless. I can't stand companies that do not stand behind their policies. I tried ordering a few things from Marine Depot yesterday. I wanted to try a different company. I submitted the price from a competitor with a screen shot. They said the sale was too good and would not price match it. They stated it had to be a pricing error. Basically, if there is a significant sale, they will not price match. I had this happen to me at Lowes before trying to price match with Sears. An employee told me that he would not price match because Sears was offering a great deal. I went to a manager and he apologized for the confusion and honored his company's policy. This wasn't the case with Marine Depot. My first experience with them turned out to be horrible. I just wanted to let other members know.

Fortunately for me, I still had the items in my cart with the other company. I went ahead and placed the order today for the sale price.
