black and gold chromis

This is exactly what I thought you were talking about.. Yeah the change is normal.

 

Hmmm...I'm not sure which coloring I like better. They look awesome to me Never heard of them or seen them before.

 

That is a different fish than what I posted earlier:

Black & Gold... (1''-1.5'')

What I thought you had was this:

Orange Line Chromis (Acanthochromis polyacanthus)

Anyway, looks like you got a juvenile and as it grows it will become darker and lose it's stripes - only problem is I don't know if it is an agressive fish or not but just keep an eye on it like any other damsel 8)

 

A friend of mine had one of these and it got more agressive with age. I agree, keep an eye on it..
