I apologize for giving misinformation. Just thought they were acrylic as the corners a curved.

BlackRaven, what makes you think they're glass? Reasons I think they're acrylic:

    - They scratch like no other.
    - They don't tink like glass. Meaning it sounds softer than glass.
    - Its curved at an insane radius which is extremely cost preventative on glass.

This was my main reasoning for thinking it was/is acrylic. I do not & have not owned one, but have seen them on display at LFS.

I'm in the middle of cycling a new jbj 28 nanocube,it is ALL glass except for the false wall that divides the filter chambers from the main tank section. As far as drilling,i agree with the others, call the manufacturer.

I think they're glass because I have one that's made out of glass, and because Oceanic says they're glass in all of their advertising material, from the box to their website.

BTW, it doesn't tink like normal glass because the curves in the glass gives it a different sound. My RSM250 (definitely glass, with the same tight curves on the front) didn't make the same normal glass tink sound, either. They may scratch because they may use a low iron glass, but that's speculation.

I'll look at the back panel of mine for you. I'm pretty sure the bottom is tempered glass, but the back is plastic.

EDIT: I just checked, the back is also glass. I don't know how to look if it's tempered, although I have sunglasses to do so.
