Might sound crazy but look into your State Atty General's website as well. I swear to god that my mother became well known with ours due to writing them letters and making these sorts of inquiries when the occasional "bad deal" happened.

The bank is a good place to start though !

On a more positive note - perhaps you might be willing to share some tank pics with us on a separate thread so that we can collectively ooh and ahh over it. 210 sounds nice!

I bet you could use some positives right now.

Yes, this one does seem legit, the other seems fishy.

The "one ginormous paragraph" format had me a little suspicious, carry on!

In my day job we have a supplier like this. They sell safety glasses for glass artists and have been known to take a credit card, charge it, sit on your order for 6 months, then when you call the bank to "charge back" your order they make the glasses, send them over night, with a letter threatening to sue for the charge back.

It's BS, it's how some people run their business, it's borderline illegal.

If a business gets enough complaints about the way they handle their customers and their credit card sales they can loose their merchant account.

I would see if you can get a phone number and call them, tell them you plan to chargeback on all the dead livestock, and see what they say.

Always give them 3 chances before that tho, as a charge back can seriously hurt a business's credit.
