I lost more than I'd like to admit before I finally got my screen covers done correctly.

If there's a hole, it's simply a matter of when, not if.

    My condolences however :(

Sorry to hear this. My tank is a 100% covered and even still today during feeding my Fiji Exquisite Wrasse found its way into my overflow box. Wrasses are pretty amazing at finding their way out of the tank.

I don't even remove my tops at feeding time anymore. I have screen pull tabs in them and I simply lift them just enough to drop the mysis spoon in, then promptly close the top.

I picked a fish up off the floor on three different occasions before I figured this out. LOL
Food in. Fish out, right in front of me. Guess he beat the others. :D And yes, each was promptly and safely returned each time.

Thanks, I'm just pissed. Ya said they'd find any hole, but i looked at this hole and was like, he's gonna need carabinners and climbing rope to work his way through that. Well he fashioned a rope and made it. Smart little buggers.
Hole will be patched and new wrasse/warasse got in a few weeks. Gonna change my substrate out so i can get a leopard as well as another line spot.

That is crazy!! Was due to food excitement or another wrasse being pushy during feeding time?

That will be good. I've had a clown go carpet surfing so far. No wrasses yet, knocks on wood. :-/

    Feeding freenzy :p

Each was due to the jumper trying to beat the rest to the food.

Fish sees food, foods near surface, fish darts :p

I just slide my lid back a few inches and feed. I've had them knock the lid a few times jumping at the food, especially my big male labouti. Crazy fish!:-/

Yeah I have a labouti and a few others. I've had the wrasse bug for quite a while. Started with it about 3 years ago when my tank was FOWLR. Then moved into the reef safe stuff obviously when I started the reef. The set of wrasses I have in the tank now are definitely my favorite fish. ;D My pair of clowns and my tail spot blenny look odd in my tank.
