The last addition I am making to my tank is a star fish. I just am just trying to gather some ideas for what kind to get, Im thinking a linka or sand sifter... maybe brittle star? Anyone else have any good suggestions? I have a cherub pygmy ange.l clown fish, fire shrimp and clown goby in there now with some bubble coral, torch coral, mushrooms, some red star polyps and some zoas

The Linkia and sandsifter are both hard to keep unless you have a large well established(MATURE) aquarium.A brittle star would be goodbut be advised that they hide in the rockwork most of the time. The Red Fromia star is very nice looking and is reef safe but can be hard to find for sale.

I had a sand sifter for about a year and he died because I didn't take very good care of my tank... but he did alright for quite some time in my small tank but I'll look into a red fromia, I really want an exotic looking starfish suitable for my tank.

Never had one but I've read that the Fromias are one of the easier reef safe stars, will scavenge for uneaten food and such.My LFS had them once priced at $35 which I thought was a little high at the time or I would have gone for it.They are very cool looking, hope you find one.
