best skimmer for a 40b+25gallon sump

whats the best skimmer i can get thats reasonable? like under $250

 

Im selling a beast of a skimmer ocotpus extreme 200! would be amazing for your set up, under 250 and if you ever expanded you would not have to upgrade!!!

 

I bought a used Aqua-C Remora HOB skimmer, and it only cost me $90 shipped. Pulls out quite a bit of skimate, and combined with my fuge, keeps my main tank nice and clean and clear. Might try finding a used one and save yourself a boatload of money.

 

You should look into a bubble-magus. I just put one in my tank and I'm very pleased with it. Great quality for the price

 

i just bought the tunze 9002. tunze makes an awesome skimmer. quiet as a mouse, compact so it goes in the sump with out getting in the way, and a work horse. in 12 hours its cup had brown it. my tank is 35 with a 25 gallon sump /refugium. (im guessing the refugium holds 10 in water?)

this skimmer isnt enough for an all sps tank over 25 gallons mixed corals its good to 52 gallons, so if you plan on a all SPS tank this wont work for you. i dont plan on all sps corals, no way would i go without xenia .my tank is mixed corals so its perfect for me, quiet was a major factor when looking for a skimmer and this one i dont hear running at all.
