I have 2x Koralia 4's in my 120G tank.... Along with the return pump from the sump, I have plenty of flow, almost no matter which way I place the Koralia pumps.

I'm curious though, after reading many posts here, I see a lot of people like to place their pumps on the back wall so they stream into the front glass. Is there a reason for this?? Do the fish seem to like it?

I worry sometimes that I have too much flow, and with the pumps on the side walls facing in and towards the back of the tank, the fish fight the current to move around in it, so I'm looking for better placement options and would like to know what other folks opinions and experiences are...

    Thanks!

    Will

Ihave 2 3's in my 75 and I have both on the back wal pointed angular to the front. I played around a while with it but found by doing it this way the flow kinda crashes and bounces back into the rocks, etc. just creates a little more random action.

I get what you're saying... how much lower than the water level do most people like to place them? a few inches? half way?

That depends on the corals you keep the fish just have to deal with it they always do somehow I have about 8,000gph turning around in this little 90 and the fish do well as do my SPS corals I keep one or two LPS and nothing in a soft coral I do have a few of the deep blue zoas not a fan but took them in anyways keep them on the bottom and the curect pund their plug all around and behing my rock wall and they cam back out and got a hold onto the glass :) I feel one can never have to much water flow or actinic lighting .
