So i have a Koralia 2 in my tank right now, there is a MJ1200 attached to my skimmer. im about to order more power heads, but im not sure how many and what size i should get... i was thinking about picking up 2 more Koralia 1's.

would that put enough water movement in my tank? i only have about 20Ibs of rock right now, but im planning on getting more.

well right now it just has a little pit of Zooas and some other huge polyps that popped up in the tank, and some stuff that looks like star polyps, a mushroom, and some feather dusters and a few damsels for now. i really want to add at least 20 or 30 more pounds of rock and get some softies in there. but im not wanting to move forward till i get the right flow in there.

Your at about 11x turnover right now without the skimmer. That is a bit on the low side and could lead to detritus build up.

If you add two K1's that will put you at about 25x turnover. That should be perfect for softies and having three power heads will give you more options for tuning the flow in.

well i ordered up another Koralia 2 and a koralia 1. so hopefully they will get here soon so i can get some water moving around.

Any one have good idea of placement? i have seen some pointed at each other, and some pointed down towards the middle of the glass from each corner.. does any one know the best way to set these power heads up?

the set up of your powerheads depends on every tank. you have to adjust them so they are not blowing your sand around etc. but having one powerheads flow somewhat hitting anothers creates more random flow rather than it being so directional
