After much searching, I have not come across any definate answers. What is the best anemone to host clown fish? I have a black and white ocellaris and a regular ocellaris. My tank is around 2 months old, which brings me to another question. Is it too early to add a hosting anemone?

    Thanks in advance.

Way to early for a anemone. Give it another 8 months or so.

    correct!
But when your ready you can use long tenticle, rose, bubble tip...all those guys work. However if your clown is tank rasied he may not host and anemone at all. Mine ignored the BTA that had and went straight for my open brain. I even caughting him hosting in the torch for a couple of days (he was expermenting!)

+1 on way to early. Wait till the tank is 8-12 months old. Also, what kind of lights do you have? Lighting may very well dictate which kind. And since you have a 37 gallon, I would avoid a long tentacle or a carpet, as they get massive.

Anemones are very delicate and not for novice aquarists or those who have a new tank.

Best to wait and take advantage of reading and waiting!

Type of clown fish dictates what anemone you would be better off with But I myself would never add one to any community tank its not needed at all the clown will be just as happy with out one.. And a yr old system is what I'd wait for before adding a anemone and make sure you have the proper lighting inplace also.

If you are looking at gettting anemone then you might want to look at Metal Halides for lighting

Yep, if its something you seriously want to consider, your going to need better lighting. I don't think that MH's would necessarily be required, but at the minimum you're going to want to step up to a good T5 set-up.
