Any Idea's as to why Bernard is hiding today in a cave ?

He is normally 7-8 inches wide and very active, but today he is shy and very grumpy, could this be a sign of starting to split ?

Perameters are the same as they always are and there is nothing new, I changed the aqua scape last week, but he was fine unil this morning?

He honestly appears like he is sulking, I gave him a shrimp this morning, which he took with no issues just a little worried about the old man
I have also uploaded a photo as he normally looks

you could probably take it to the LFS and get a store credit for the split piece :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You're best not intervening at this point.

BTA do move when they are going to split.

At this point I would wait and watch.

No they move away on their own. No interventions needed.

I think it's best not to mess with them at all for about 2 weeks after they split.

They are pretty hardy but need to heal.
