Did you unscrew the intake grey tube and then take the venturi out and clean it?

nope nothing was stuck in it. if it could come off it did i just got over a green hair alge outbreak were i lost.i had to replace all my rock 120# of it. so i made sure there is no alge left on anything or in anything. the thing looks like it did when i first got it now but i just cant get it to foam for nothing. could the pump be going bad maybe? its not 4 months old yet but that would be my luck lately

Hi Again greyhawk, Maybe you are misunderstanding what I am asking, Sometimes it is hard to word things the way you mean to, What I'm trying to say is that the magnet should be stuck to the plastic piece that it slides on to, If it isn't the magnet will spin on the plastic instead of turning the impeller on the pump. It may still pump some water but no were near what it is supposed to................ John

Check your magnesium levels. I know that for a while my cpr worked great--but within the last week or two it wasn't doing so hot a job. When I checked my magnesium and found it a little low--I started dripping in Tech M (Kent's mg supplement not sure I am thrilled with it) and the levels have come up slightly and my skimmer is working better. The water also looks a little clearer (I had a lot of stuff floating in the water).

    Just my humble thought.
