    Hi all,

I've got a Biocube 29 that's been running for a week. A relatively local FS set me up with live sand, live rock, and water from their system. I have a CUC, and they're doing well. One of the hermits actually moved into a shell I brought back from Tahiti in 2005....I just stuck the shells in because they reminded me of a great trip.

Anyway, I have at least one, but I'm thinking more than that, aiptasia present. Is this something to worry about with a new tank? Should I order Aiptasia-X and try to get rid of it now, while I'm still a few weeks from adding any more livestock to the tank?

    Suggestions welcome!

Get it out asap. You can use vinegar, kalk paste and I do believe hot water, but not to sure with that one. If it's on a rock that can be removed from the tank do that and scurb it good

Never try to remove it in your tank. Any small piece that comes off will grow a new one.

If you catch one when it's small you can also put superglue gel or reef epoxy on it to seal it in its rock.

peppermint shrimp worked for mee too and by far the easiest technique but you need to get them out before they get bigger. if they get big just pull them out with tweezers. deal is they actually can reproduce when you do this but the shrimp will quickly rid the new offspring. just sit back and watch.

Am I safe to add shrimp in such a new tank? Running just a week....everything reads perfectly, but....
