beckett pond pump....!! metal impellor

i used this and recently noticed it has a hetal impellor...
i just set up the tank it has been circulating water for about a week.

the box said fresh or salt...

i just dont trust it...

any input...

i have no sand or rock.....yet brand new tank just mixed and filled last week...

if i take it out do i need to drain tank??

 

Metal Impeller or metal impeller shaft ? If its 316 S.S then its fine after a week in saltwater look at you'll now if its safe or not..

 

impellor, it looks like brass to be honest.....
its a 120 with 40 sump
i think its bad personally....
but never read or heard about it so...???
if i take it out will the water be ok still...?

 

If its brass thats bad ): just run some Kent's metal sponge or the stuff sea chem makes cuppermin or something like that I always run the Kent's in the water just to be safe be it metals from the house pipes of a nail or screw or something falls into the sump by accident its good to have that insurance .

That will fix it if any brass has dissolved into the water
