Ok so the other day one of my two 250 watt halide ballasts burnt itself up. I am buying a new ballast from marine depot, There are two ballast both are 250 watts but one is a 120 volt and the other is a 240 volt. Her is the link too the two ballasts.

If any one has them let me know how they run and if yoou have had any problems. So far the reviews on them are good. And if you could explain to me exactly what a volt is and what it does that would be great.

    Peace my friends

It depends on the outlet you are plugging it into. If its a standard outlet its a 120v if it's a bigger one like the one your laundry dryer is hooked into then its a 220

They are a good ballast but I like the Galaxy myself you simply change the power cord to convert from 120 to 240 and you can get the dual to run 2 lamps We ran a couple of the 120 v Lumatek until we went to all 240v ballast circuits
