    I guess you just opened a can of worms. I have never had a Asterina Star before. I have heard from a few people that they will eat SPS. Someone else has mentioned that it ate some zoos. Most people say they are harmless. If I were you I would make a desission now as these starfish multiply fast. They multiply by fission and can do so very quickly quickly.

    Ditto with what somethingfishy said... i heard both sides to. a guy i usually trust at my LFS told me that they ate SPS polyps. But another guy at another LFS and some people here on 3reef said they were harmless. My girlgriend has about 15 in her 20gal and they didnt touch anything except for algae. She doenst have any SPS yet though.

    I have one like that but smaller. It climbs over stuff but I haven't seen it eat any SPS. Or anything really.

    I have them in my reef tank too and they don't seem to bother anything. However they act as a food source for my Linka starfish. I see it eating them from time to time.
