So after talking to Dingo for a while, we came to the conclusion that my Clowns more than likely have a bacterial infection.
But my computer kinda cut me off the internet and we didnt finish the conversation.

so i decided to post yet another thread...

I need help, how should i go about helping my fish?

If it is Bacterial you'll need to treat with something like Maracyn Plus. But as for how safe they are to treat your DT I have no experience. They might kill of some of your Bio filter too. So hopefully some one has used it and knows more.

Maracyn I would suggest for a QT tank, as for Pimafix and Melafix, you could use them in your DT but they are a slower acting Medication, Just make sure if you use Maracyn you use the correct kind, there are 3 versions of Maracyn out there from Mardel.

I honestly couldnt tell you, I rarely use medications os of late. And no longer have the maracyns. Theres Maracyn, Maracyn Plus, Maracyn 2, and Maracyn-Oxy... come to think of it.

Im not sure which one you need. I just know of Maracyn Plus from using it in a fresh water tank many years ago. There are 2 main types, gram-negative and gram-postive antibiotics. Each one kills different types of bacteria and fungus. So it can be hard to tell which to use if your not sure what you have.
