I have a 6" baby snowflake eel and I was wondering how much i should feed him. I try a piece or two of krill a day and he has taken it everyday except today is this too much?

I used to feed mine two times a day too, and he has grown very fast from when I got him, now I feed him every other day. I feed mine krill, silversides and he even ate a live minnow once. You should feed him around once every two days, unless you want him to grow faster.

An eel does not to be fed two or three times a day. The more you feed them the faster their growth rate is. I would give him a fish a week or maybe even two. My fish get fed every third day. And they are fine and healthy. Freshwater fish are good in a saltwater tank for 20 to 30 minutes so wait a few days and give him a fat goldfish and let him hunt just like in the wild. You will enjoy the show.

idk that he is big enough to fit a goldfish in his mouth he is pretty small. And I meant that I give him one or 2 pieces a day depending on how much he will take.

That is what I do as well It make it more interesting. I also feed pieces of clam from the store occasionally. I tried some ghost shrim but the were just to fast for it.

I would not feed him every day. Eels in the wild only eat every 2 to 3 days and they will over eat if you give them the opportunity.

I have a 14" snowflake eel and I feed him every other day. Usually a siverside and 2 krill.
