Thinking of adding another clown to my 65. I currently have a standard ocellaris clown hosting a bulb tip and was thinking adding a black and white but wanted to know if anyone thinks they can get along or if I should just go with a regular ocellaris.

    Thanks

I have read an experiment where a scientest took a clown fish and added other clowns too the tank. Clowns that were alike in color would soon be accepted where others that didn't host simmular color would fight to the death. Also when 2 mated clowns stripes were coved they to would also fight untill there stripes were revieled.

it may be fine just as it may not....I personally never had a problem mixing ocellaris and/or perculas of any color/pattern variations. On the other hand i have heard of people that have had issues when attempting the same. I'd be more worried about adding one of the bigger/more aggressive clowns (like a tomato) to a tank that is already inhabited by another one of those bigger/more aggressive species. I guess the good thing about clowns is they are easy to catch if you do experience aggression.

I have one B/W and one orange Occ. They seem to get along just fine. They were not introduced at the same time either. Just my experience.
