Awesome Find, Plastic Mesh Screens

Was looking through my better halfs art stuff and came across this goldmine of supplies. I paid like 10 buck at lfs for 2 or 3 of them. and these come in packs of a dozen each. Exact same type of plastic and spacing, comes in tons of different sizes and shapes, comes in packs of 12. Sold at most arts and crafts stores in the sewing section. Cost was like 2-3 dollars for 12 screens.

Hope this find can be useful to others.

 

+1 awesome find, i'll swing by a.c. moore tomorrow and see what i can find! it's amazing how the same item varies in price depending on where its being sold. petco sells 1/4 plastic tubing for like $1 per foot! when its like at most .33 cents at lowes or hd

this will be perfect to fit into my 1" pvc overflow to make sure no snails climb up and die again and almost cause near catastrophe!

You can also use the sheets of it for other projects as well. I made a hang on refugium and the bottom of my tank has a layer(I lashed two sheets together with fishing line and cut to fit) to keep my rocks from sliding around or shifting.
