    So, my tank is 5 weeks old. This weekend is the first time I am away from home. Did all the maintenance and topped off water before i left. Lights are on timer and all.

    Still, can't help but worry bout my lil fishes!

    It's only 2 days.... they'll be fine.

    Do you get alot of evaporation in the tank? I used to lose about 1-2g a day in my old 29g..So that would be 4g of water with no topoff if i was gone for 2 days.

    No, not that much. I think i loose about 2 gallons a week.

    ambient temp/ time of year makes the most difference on evaporation rates
    along with type of lighting used and if the tank has a cover or not

    I only lose about 1 litre per day on a 75 most of the year
