    Hey guys - just to officially step in here... I did give the green light to mission to have a contest - you all are welcome to do this occasionally .. no worries!

    I like to throw the big crazy contests myself. :) But these are welcome too. Just run it by me like mission did and nail down the theme and put an expiration on the poll and off you go!

    I hear ya.. I and probably many others are out next week but I'll start working on seeing if some are interested in the near future.

    I am sure it's nothing personal. :) Probably just seen it a lot on other sites... that's why I do video contests, etc.. but I think you have a real good point about just doing small ones for kicks now and then. It's noted. ;)

    What about having everyone involved collaborate on putting up a nice little something. I, myself have a friggin large amount of LR which is doing nothing. I could post a few pics and whom ever wins could pick a piece or two. BTW I'll participate realizing that I have next to no chance of winning;D But really, we could have some fun with this if everyone wants to.

    I really think that it's a great idea. Shipping things(potentially across the world) could get to be a little much. So, for this one, it's a shirt and karma. We'll see how it goes. If we get alot of entries and enthusiasm someone on a larger scale may want to be a part of it.

    I think looking for sponsors monthly will prove to be a full time job.
    I think a prize of a POTM tag under your username and some Karma is the way to go.

    I know many other sites do this sort of POTM based on themes. I also know we tried to do it in the past and it was very difficult to get a consensus on a theme.
    So if you all don't mind the Mods will come up with the theme each month. and pictures can be submitted to an e-mail address and voting will begin.
    I can take this on starting August 1. So by the 15th of June we will have a Theme and I will have everything set up by then.

    Any issues please let me know.
