I also want to know if this sounds like a good CUC.
About 15-10 Nassarius snails (I can collect them for free)
    10 cerith snails
    10 turban snails
and 1 or 2 peppermint shrimps (I consider them as part of the stocking and CUC)

When I want to the pet store, I got the rest of the water, and they gave me a small lace rock, and a snail shell that is incrusted with coralline.

I also want to the hardware store and got 5’ of airline tubing ($.95) and a 2-½-quirt bucket to acclimate fish ($1).

I got the water tested yesterday.
Ammonia has started to lower, but the nitrite and nitrate are still way up.
Also, the rocks are turning light green, and diatoms are starting to grow on the sand.

    I really need help!

I just got the water tested, and it’s not good.
The ammonia is still high (but not horrible)
Nitrite and nitrate are still off the charts. (literally)
    I don’t know why:confused:
After 26 days nitrite and nitrate should start to drop, right?
what could be causing it to be like this?

Twenty six days and you still have ammonia and with nitrite off the charts!!!!!!!

What type of rock base did you start with?

Did you add anything to the tank to assist in quickening the cycle, like table shrimp?
