    i assume wrasses that sleep in the sand have more of a chance to get stung by bristleworms....whats the most humane way to put a fish down?

    Actually, I would not worry about it all all. Some wrasses actually eat BWs, so they know how to deal with them on average.The worms are going to be looking for something dying/dead. I've seen fish with spines sticking out of them , but the only fish I've seen die was a seahorses. It actually sucked up the BW with a shrimp and it was stuck it it's snout for a bit. :-(Died of swelling/infection/starvation).

    I use MS-222 (tricaine) to put my fish down. I have used clove oil as well.
