Power just flickered back on! The coral looks horrible, but that is expected. All of my other FW tanks seem fine including the planted 55. Thanks again everybody! K+ to all 8)

Awesome. Power outages with tanks can be nerve racking. I imagine your corals will be fine...with no light and minimal flow they will close up and look pretty sorry. Glad to hear you made it through OK.

    Thanks, Matt :)
Thanks, Jeff. I was getting very worried. They said we could see outages up to 4 or 5 days long. I guess not :)

I used to live in a fairly remote area in WA State. In the winter we would get wind storms with 80+ mph winds...having 150 foot tall fir trees is beautiful but not a good mix for high winds and power lines. Because of the scale of the outages and the semi-remote location (we backed up to the Olympic National Park) we were always low priority for getting power restored. It was almost always 2 or 3 if not 4 or 5 days before we got our power back. Glad you didn't have to go that long.

WOW, if I had to wait that long I would have probably picked up another 2 or 3 battery pumps.
You have a PM by the way 8)

Glad to hear it's back. Been there, done that never fun. I've lived here 3 years now though and never lost power. For some reason, idk, just thought I was pushing my luck or something, so I ordered a small portable generator. It amazingly arrived on time yesterday and has been on for the last 7 hours today. :). Can't believe I went ten years without one. Kind of nice lighting the house with actinide actually.

    Talk about good timing, M2!
I get worried about my tank easily and the power outage was no exception.

I used to live in he country and we would loose power monthly. Those battery powered air pumps do go a long way. No worse feeling than seeing your tank sitting powerless though...
