i have ran a battery powered air pump for 17 hours on a recent outage all was fine. with this time of year the water temp should be ok. but not sure where you are so????? temp is what you might need to worry about

you could try pouring buckets of tank water back over your corals to create flow.

JJ did you get that vortech pump yet? Perhaps you should get the battery back up for it? I forget how long that lasts with an mp10 es...

There isn't much else you can do.. I think a few ari pumps and you should be ok.

Stir the water periodically. You can do this with a spatula or by filling a pitcher and pouring it back in the tank to create flow.

What is the temperature in that room? I had a 12 hour outage recently - the battery air pump saved my fish but the water sure got cold.

Perhaps a pitcher, buckets into a 34gal of water will create an unwanted stir. LOL.. ;)

Thanks for the input everyone. Power is still out. I did not get the mp10es yet. The airstone is stil going strong. I am going to scoop up some tank water with a small container and dunp it back in the tank. How often should I do ths? My house is a about 76 now.

I don't think you need to do that very often as you have the air-pump going. Glad to hear about the temp. How is everything doing?
