    I also love the diy led im thinking on my new build i might try and do some of that myself where about did you go to find that kit. I found a few websites just doing alot of research on it.

    Oh wow, it seems I wasn't getting the email notifications on the replies. Sorry for not replying sooner.

    The led in itself is great but personally there is not enough blue to my liking, which is why I added the strip (3 royal blue) Cree XR-E's. I pieced together the parts from Home Depot. (except for the LEDs and optics, which I got from eBay). The newer version of the Elos e-lite has 6 blue and 6 white emitters but mine has only 3 blue. Hope that doesn't sound confusing.

    The dt is 20 gallons and the sump is ~5. I've had the tank about a year now and it's getting really hard not to upgrade. Really hard.

    That's one slick looking setup. I recognize the NYC apartment kitchen, but they don't usually look that good ;) Really colorful, established looking tank to. Well done.
