Checking out the new style powerheads with the driver on the outside of the glass..and the propeller on the inside of the tank..anyone seen a version of this type, like the 300.00 VorTech MP10, etc. that is just a powerhead..no wireless, no controls...just a two piece propeller powerhead with a wet and a dry side?

They do not require the wireless to function.
They do require a control unit however. The control unit is wired to the dry side driver. The wireless is used to sync multiple units together or control them from a reef controller (Apex, Reef Angel, etc).

There is no other pump with this design available. Vortech is it.
