Hello. I have a 29 gallon with 1 coral Beauty. I am upgrading to a 55 once I move across town.

Would it be OK to add another dwarf clown (red strip angel) once I move to the new tank?

I was on liveaquaria.com and it says compatible, but with caution. It recommends no adding two angels of the same genus, unless also of the same species.

Dwarf angels can be a little easier because there territorial needs are smaller so you may not have a problem. You won't know until you try.

OK I thought this may be the case. Foster & Smith recommended I just go ahead and try. What I can do is leave the Coral Beauty in there and she will already have a place of her own and then just add the Red Stripe.

ive got a coral beauty and flame angel together in a 90. beauty was in 1st , when flame was introduced 3 months later , the beauty was not happy. went after the flame , 1st night was horrible. so lights were turned off early, and next day they were good together. this is another one of these possible trial and error scenarios. never know what could\might happen. good luck.

I had a potters angel and a flame angel toguether with no problems at all. Very cool to have :)

My potters died of inflation lol ( his stomach pretty much inflated till he died have no idea what it was)

since you only have one fish in your tank (according to your sig) you might be okay. but consider that they are territorial and any smaller/less agressive fish you may want to add may not stand a chance against two dwarf angels. i added 2 clowns to mine and the angel picked on one clown for a whole month before leaving it alone. if it wasnt a hardy clown it woulda been dead.

I was planning on introducing the new dwarf angel into the 55 gallon while the lights are off. As far as other fish, I want to add later, 3 neon damsels & 1 orange spotted goby.
