So i purchased the 36 ki from aquastyle. It was a perfect setup, i had wired all the 21 blues onto the aluminum and started that driver up and it worked great, dimmers and everything. Then as i was moving the fixture around over my tank all of the blues went out while still plugged in and can turn back on. I then wired all the whites and they Worked great. I met with my dads electrician friend trying to get the blues to work. We checked he worong on each led with a volt meter and everything on the foxture seperatly has working and conducting electricity. However we tried switching the drovers to see of that was the problem ( which it wasnt because the blues still didnt light up). After some more tampering, what we eventually got was the forst blue in the strand blinking (not randomly, definatly uniform timing). And also now the whites dont work. I think my only option is to re wire the whole setup with clean tinned wires. Anyone have any other advice?

What gauge wire should i get and can it be any general speaker type wire at Any hardware store? Plz help :(

    This sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have 21 LEDs in series on one driver? That may be too much for it. The site says max is 20 for the Maxwellen driver. What is the voltage that the driver supplies to the string?

If you have 21 on one driver then you are over the max. Like already stated, those drivers can only handle 20, not 21. You need to take one off of that driver, and it may or may not be damaged.

You don't need to re-wire the whole thing just move the driver wire a few LEDs into the string.

Check the dimmer connections. I've got the 92 led kit over my reef and the only issue I've noticed is the potentiometers are crap. Not sensitive at all, big jumps in light intensity with tiny twists and one has actually cut out. It only took a twist down and then back up to correct it but still. I'll be replacing them shortly.

Just changed my potentiometers included in the kit to Radio Shack Rheostat - part no 271-0265. Less than $10 for two and the sensitivity nd range of adjustment is much improved.

I have been doing a lot of testing on this. Basically I switched my white LEDs onto my other driver. They still did not work. I tested my blues on the other ballast and both the driver and the dimmer is working fine since the blues were on. Basically my conclusion is, both drivers, potientiometers, and power chords are all working great. However for some reason my white LED's wont light up. I have checked all the connections prior to connecting to the driver and everything looks good. The only thing I can think of is to rewire the whole strand which i really do not want to do............
