So my dry rock came in from BRS today! Fast shipping took 3 or 4 days, packed real well with almost no rubble. I had 40lbs of pukani with a lot of nice pieces and 8 lbs of branch which had some but minimal breakage. Now to aquascape, man I spent 3 hours working on it (this is my first time doing SW) and still can not get it right! I hate the look of a ton of rock and no tank but I do want the benefits of all that filtration. This rock is sooo porous too that I am hoping it can breed lots of pods so I can keep a mandarin.
Any tips? I do have some instant ocean epoxy to help with this build and am building on bare glass tryignto make everything stable and secure before I add sand and water.

    Tips on aquascaping?
I actually hate to glue my rock down because I tend to move things around. My aquascapes never really lasted too long. It took me over a year to finally get it where I sort of wanted it, and I'm still kinda wanting to move it a little bit.

With this said, I do make sure that my rock WILL NOT move even the slightest when placing them down. Although with rock that is porous, its kinda like using legos :p

I am not glueing all pieces, just a few so I can make some itneresting structure. I plan on adding corals and letting everything grow so I feel like once I set thigns they are staying for awhile. I am like that with my FW tanks though I rearrange constantly

Ok, I know this will sound really lame but...

When I was cycling, I took a lot of time to produce the scape I wanted. It was a lot of work, and looked decent in the end. Turns out I had to take out the whole sand bed though, and all the rocks I had so carefully placed too.
When I put the rocks back in, I just threw them in because I was too lazy to do the whole process over again. After moving some stuff around (total time about 15 minutes) it looks pretty good, pretty similar to the first scape that took me an hour or two. I'll take some pics soon and show you ( I kind of want to know if it looks good)
