Or a 165 gallon show tank, now that was a challenge. Takes a lot of rock to get that natural reef look. I love show tanks, they are harder to keep but much more appealing to my tastes.

I think a lower middle is best esp. when flow pattern is considered, this helps keep the tank cleaner.

IMHO that looks good. Maybe you should try moving the whole structure bck than sloping it down. That would look good too! :)

were it me I would use a top down set up- tall in one corner (for future corals) and allow the rock to slowly decend to the sand bed in the opossing corner- this always looks really good and allows for proper flow and good coral placment. Not to mention hiding space for any critters.

From a back corner to an opposing front corner is what I mean- try it, I think you will like it, it will also make the tank look bigger and more like a natural reef.

Well had to tear down that one. The whole left side weight was resting on a single point of a rock on the bottom. Not a good idea.
I'll be back at it after work. Think ill go with the same concept though.

Get some epoxy and some small PVC and build some shelves and overhangs. Youve got some great rock, it just needs some additional help to make some really cool shapes.
