Anyone tho uses these please let me know your own experiences with them. I woule think that the coral will not get any light on one side. because the coral is attached to the glass horizontally.

Well, that's true but there will always be some part of the coral that's shaded from the light by the coral itself. I've used them and they work pretty well. I just don't like the look of a bunch of corals "stuck" to the glass and if you leave the corals on there long enough, they will eventually grow onto the glass itself.

Compared to the coral being vertical which I would think would get the most light do you think that being horizontal the coral will still get enough light?

I've seen similar thing where it's more of a mag shelf for the frags... Friend of mine has them with and without holes for plugs.

I have 2 of them in my tank...I use them as a frag grow out until they get bigger and not as prone as getting lost in the rock. I have an urchin that likes to grab things from the rocks and would hate to have him grab my superman monti. Also this way I can drop the rack when I get a new frag and help acclimate them to the light better

Plus I am going to be buying all these rare frags soon from a friend and will only place them on this rack until they grow out some. I can not wait till I get them

Not the best pictures but here are my racks:

The coral will grow according to its exposure to the light so regardless of how its placed, it will take care of itself by modifying its growth pattern/habits to optimize its exposure to your lights, assuming you have enough light to support hard corals (which as far as I'm concerned is the only coral you can really attach to the mags).
