It's time to upgrade my protein skimmer, right now I am using a ASM G1 with the Sedra 2500 pump, Although it has done a great job with a sump flow rate of around 250gph, I'm changing tanks and will be upgrading to around 750gph. Everything I have read on the EV180 with the Mag 9.5 has been positive, my other choice is the downdraft style Reef Devil with the Mag 7. Anybody have positive or negative input on the two? Thanks for your help!

I have looked into both the aqua C and the ETSS sump buddy 40 for my next tank. There are way better reviews on the ETSS, and I happened to find a used one local for cheap money so I'll be going that route.

You could easily do a EV-120 on a 60g. Worked good on my 90g. I used a Mag 7, but you could do a Mag 5. A Mag 9.5 would put a ton of heat into that 60g. Honestly, EVs are good and they work, but needle wheels do the same if not a little better for much less power use.... which equals much less heat. I have found my needle wheel skimmers to be much more consistent than my EV was..... although it did do good at it's job. A Vertex IN-100 would do a very good job for you with much less pump.
