Thats a really good idea. Since I haven't mounted the coral yet I think I'm going to take it out and try to remove them with tweezers and then dip it in a little coral revive for a couple minutes.

As for it being hydroids I'm not really sure what those look like but i looked at a couple pictures and don't think thats what they are. I had a very large 1 growing that was cleary aptasia and I figure where there's 1 there's always more of them.

+1, for that thickness of the anenome, the tentacles seem irregularly long.

If they are hydroids I would still need to remove them right?

I'm pretty sure they will die out on their own, mine did.

Get a medical syringe fill with lemon juice and inject a bit into each one, that will nail them, oh and turn off powerheads for about an hour ohyaaaa they are as good as burnt. Or a peppermint shrimp will work, but then you are stuck with the shrimp, and they dont taste like peppermints if you know what i mean vern

Oh if they are hydroids they will run there course and die 4-6 months, and they sting like a bee so your trumpet will probably die, but they dont sound like the H roid but send me a picture and i will decide. If amgenones dont remove with twezzers then you will have hundreds upon hundreds in about 3 months.

Give your peppy a few more days, you may have got a randal shrimp instead of a peppy, if it is a peppy oneshould mow them down in a few days, if ya got big ones still inject with lemon to weaken so shrimp dont get stung tooo bad, bigger ones can kill a peppy

Whenever I see any Aiptasias in my tanks, I inject TM Elimi-Aiptas directly into the stalk as opposed to into the mouth. I find that the product has a better kill rate when injected into the stalk.
