Well, like I said, after some research I agree with you. I was going off the fact I thought his ATO was float based.

hey mojoe have you seen this? Mr. Saltwater Tank's Review of the Apex Jr - YouTube
i dont agree with his not needing a display. i use mine to hit the feed at least twice a day. i also love being able to see my ph and have the apex shut down the power to the kalk in my ato if the ph raises over 8.5 .

the apex display is nice and large and easy to read at a glance

Yes I have seen the review from Mr. SWT a bit ago, thanks for the input as someone that utilizes the display. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

I use the aquanotes app instead of the screen for everything. Of course if you don't have an iphone or an android based phone, this is not possible. Making the screen very useful. The screen also makes calibrating probes easy.

i have an iPhone with aquanotes on it, but i still like having the display at the tank. its convenient. but its not like it can't be added later.
i recently added the salt probe, i think my next step will be the water on floor sensor. it really is nice and super easy to add to the apex controller.

I have been trying to find those water sensors. Who sells them? Still like your salinity probe?

i haven't looked into the floor sensors to much was hoping when I'm ready i could find someone who has done it so i get all the info from them. the module i had to by for the salt probe, says it has what it needs to add water on floor sensors.
i do like the salt probe so far i have found it to be very accurate.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Jr. today, I will make the 4 outlets work for now and probably add more to it when I have the funds. Maybe even add the display too someday.

pink4miss, how is the salinity probe is it accurate & easy to calculate? I also looked at the water sensors, very cool future addition.

does the temp probe just float in the sump or does it have to be mounted?

Off to look at gaming adapters!

congrats on taking the plunge :) you will be happy you did

check into your last thread about apex, at the end i put something about gaming adapters. the first one i got gave me problems i now have a net gear and an very happy with it.

yes the salt probe is very accurate , it fluctuates with temp but after reading about salt readings thats normal.i will one day get the temp probe for that . i have a temp probe but you need one hooked to the module2 in order for it to read and compensate it for the salt reading. but the fluctuation is minimal with temp, since my temp doesn't sway much

my main temp float, i have just laying in my sump. ph probe is mounted and salt is laying in place where the sections are and it over flows into the middle. its in a upright position and works great this way
