I have a random DI resin chamber sitting around from one of the billion raffles I have been in. I was thinking of modding it into a nitrate reactor. Anyone have anything similar... I would love to see pics of your reactor if possible too!

I saw a thread on how to DIY on another forum. I'll look and see if I can find it.

Never heard of a nitrate reactor before (I'm still proudly wearing my "noob" badge, so this is not all that surprising). Is it simply another location for denitrifying bacteria to colonize or is there some other wizardry involved?

It is a chamber that has very low flow and sulfer media in it. It promotes anaerobic bacteria and they break down nitrates.

Idk, I've heard a lot more complaints about them than a dsb. I don't have any experience with them though.
